Murano glass is some of the most beautiful in the world and
hard to beat. It is handmade on the little island of Murano in Italy close
to Venice, where beadmakers moved in the 14th Century to protect their art.
Stunning. We have been lucky enough to see the beadmaking operation of our
own makers on Murano (and they are such lovely people, we always look forward
to seeing them).
We have also added a small selection of other fine quality handmade beads
to the collection, and where we are unsure of their origins (ie, we did not
obtain them directly from our glassmakers on Murano), this is indicated in
the details for that bead; this information is provided so you can be informed
when your customer asks about the origin of a piece of glasswork.
Please refer to our hints
and tips section to know how to make a pendant from a bead.
