The glass core of the bead is wrapped with 12K White gold foil which is then encased in glass and shaped to the finished size, in some cases the gold is exposed.

These beads (also known as Venetian Glass) are handmade on the island of Murano within the Venetian lagoon in Italy. The murano glass artisans are regarded worldwide as the masters of their art.
