Hints & Tips - Using a split ring

Despite there being dedicated tools on the market to open split rings, you can find a free tool in the shape of your thumb nail!

	Having made your dangle or charm, pick up the split ring and gently hold open the wire; this is technique is particularly useful in adding split rings to clasps or to hangman's loop wired charms or dangles. You may prefer to save your finger nails and use a pair of dedicated split ring pliers.
	Whether it is one dangle or more, the split ring is a really good bit of kit.
